Bella Notte Ristorante was the location for Keri & Eric’s wedding reception. I had a great time photographing their event and the weather was perfect for me to bring out my infrared digital camera.

wow Walter! Incredible coverage of the wedding. So much emotion in each picture!!!! I love it!
Great images Walter! I enjoyed them a lot!
Beautiful work Walter!
Boston, Ma was the location for the engagement session of Christine & Dana. We had a great time hanging out in the Boston Common area and having drinks at the Taj. Walked around the park, had a few martinis, sang a few songs, ate some great food, pretty much a great “date” with me hanging out with them and taking some pictures. The wedding will be at the Belle Mer on Goat Island in Newport RI.

Saltwater Farm Vineyard was the location for Super DJ Doug, Doug Jastremski 40th birthday party. Linda Sample and crew from A Thyme to Cook provided the retro tv dinners and new walking lcd slide show of images from Doug’s life. Doug’s wonderful wife Mia was stunning as always. Lighting and sound provided by Power Posse Productions. Doug setting up for two days and the room was speculator. Sugar Band provided the live music for people to dance too. Doug did his world famous solo rapping. I also brought my Profoto lighting gear for the “Fun Booth Area” that Chris Rioux assisted me with and he also did some second photography throughout the day. I was honored to be a part of Doug’s 40th birthday celebration. Many more years to come….

Love the new layout Walter this is great!
Hey Walter — Wow, what a great party. I love the location and it looks like there was no expense spared. Thanks for capturing the moment — I hope you will be available for my next big b’day party!
The Edison Ballroom was the location of the 40th birthday party of Julie and Scott. Tone Loc got the party got started and finished with the great band The Subscribers Foundation. I was the second photographer for Sherry Pickerell Photography. The party rocked on for hours. The food and service was second to none. We both had a super fun time and I can’t wait to work with Sherry again.

Raffaella and Daniel by Vladimir Chaloupka. Astors’ Beechwood Mansion Newport, Rhode Island was the wonderful setting for the wedding of Raffaella and Daniel. I was the second motion recorder for Vladimir Chaloupka. I had a great time working with Vlad using a Nikon D300s for my first 35mm video. I was assigned to record Daniel’s preparation for motion video and Sherry Pickerell was the still photographer working as the second for Michael Cody Photography. We all had a super time and great weather. A perfect day. I can’t wait to work with Vlad again.. Congratulations Raffaella and Daniel

Jonathan Edwards Winery was the setting for Erin and Canaan’s wedding day. The day was filled with plenty of love and emotion which made for an exciting and fun time. I had a great time with Erin and Canaan capturing their wedding day from the getting ready at the Mystic Marriott; with Erin having a pair of very nice deep blue christian louboutin of Paris shoes, very pretty flowers provided by Hana Floral and Boutique to the final dance with music provided by the always great Super DJ Doug Jastremski of Power Posse Productions . We had perfect weather for the ceremony, great food provided by Gourmet Galley and non stop fun at the reception. We also had two ring ceremony’s as someone had to borrow their parents rings during the ceremony
I also was able to use my digital infrared camera and a ring light on the dance floor for a low angle wedding party image. We had a perfect day! Continued love and happiness to Erin and Canaan. Walter van Dusen

Hi Walter!
Great set of images! I can’t wait until Mystic 5. See you soon!
Love all your pictures! The “infra red” pic is amazing! Your work is extremely inspiring.
Hi Walter,
Nice work! What a small world…I know more than half the photogs speaking at Mystic 5! Wish you all the best with the program. It is a good to learn from so many good photogs. We can’t wait to have Joe McNally in Malaysia next Feb!
Walter – WOW, you really captured the energy at the reception. I also like the infrared images — the couple looks like they are next to frozen grape plants when in fact it is the light play off of the protective wrap.
great work..love your elevator shot
Nice use of mirrors. Great job! Show me more….
Incredible and artistic images, especially the digital infrareds!
And I must have that bouquet shot! Just gorgeous.
Thanks so much for sharing these.
Lovely Images Walter! Love the infrared compositions. I agree with Aurora about the elevator image with the bridesmaids holding the door open…you at a low angle to not be seen….really nice.
I also love the beginning images of the bride on the bed and the wide angle view of the couple in B&W where they have their backs to us & the fun round grouping where you are on the floor shooting up at the folks at the end…this lovely couple are going to have a difficult time just picking their favorites for an album…well done!
Blessings,
Elena
Very creative, very creative indeed!!! Bravo! Truly remarkable.
I dont even know how you did some of these.
Beautiful job really love the creativity of the elevator shot and the first vineyard shot in infrared is just incredible!!!
East Hampton Point was the setting for Erica and Eoin’s wedding day. The day was filled with plenty of love and emotion which made for an exciting and fun time. I had a great time with Erica and Eoin capturing their wedding day from the getting ready (Melissa Sweet Gown Priscilla of Boston) to the kiss on top of the stair case. East Hampton Point made for a great setting and we had a very nice sunset. We had a perfect day! Continued love and happiness to Erica and Eoin. Walter

Nice job Walter. You really captured the emotion of the day!
Beautifully captured! Really nice angles, great expressions, great variety as well! Keep it up!
Nice work Walter, like the Bride father images a lot. Looks like everyone had a great time!
beautiful images! I especially love that last stairwell shot. The bride and groom must be very happy.
Love it I’m a new fan for life =) and if you didn’t already know I’m a huge fan of pretty sky so the sunset shot got me all excited also really loving the backlit dance shot and the last! Great job you really do beautiful work!
Looks like a great wedding, Walter! Well done!
Very beautifully done Walter! Love the angles and lines and use of light. More importantly you have captured some very strong emotions a true tribute to the bond of the family.
Nicely Done Walter!
You like to use a wide angle lens a lot. I think it adds some unique angles to an image.
Wish i had a watery view like the ones you all get up north.
Groton Long Point Casino with A Thyme to Cook was the setting for Elizabeth and Daniel’s wedding day. The day was filled with plenty of energy and emotion which made for an exciting and fun time. I had a great time with Elizabeth and Daniel capturing their wedding day from the getting ready (Gown purchased at Montage ) to Liz letting her hair down. The combination of Groton Long Point Casino, with A Thyme to Cook and great & interesting weather made for a wonderful setting to celebrate and enjoy the wedding – a perfect day! Thank you for letting me capture the special moments and enjoy your honeymoon in Spain. Walter van Dusen

What a beautiful wedding. Pat and Rich look as glowing as their beautiful daughter. Wilma sent me these in Florida where I am this week, visiting and doing a bit of freelance.
Much love to all and thanks again for sharing.
Really beautifully done Walter as if your keen eye for moments isn’t enough you go and light everything so beautifully! BRAVO!
I kept saying I wanted to go back to the Wedding as a guest, not the responsible “Mother of the Bride”….your photos have allowed me to do that, Walter! Fabulous!! even the oturageous work of art shoes cannot eclipse the beauty of Elizabeth in that gorgeous gown. You really captured her and Dan, the spirit of the day, Groton Long Point, the Casino, and my family. The photo on the beach with the train waving in the breeze is a prize winner….for a Bridal magazine, or the Pronovias wedding gown designers. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!
Walter, what can I say? You did SUCH an unbelievable job of capturing our wedding. The lighting techniques you used are phenomenal. All the emotion you managed to capture…I’m so impressed. Every time I look through the images I’m truly transported back to the day of the wedding. I am beyond happy with your work and also the way you handled taking shots throughout the course of the day.
To any brides to be looking for a photographer: You cannot go wrong with Walter, his images say it all.
Dan and I thank you so very much.
