Something about me.

What do you want to remember from your wedding day?

I photograph weddings from an insider’s point of view. I get to know you both before your wedding day so that I'm not just the photographer, but instead, someone with a vested interest in telling your wedding story.

I'm a three-time winner of Connecticut Photographer of the Year, twice earning Connecticut and New England Best in Show for Client designed Wedding Albums, three Professional Photographers of America Loan Collection Prints, recipient of 7 Connecticut and New England Court of Honors Awards, 3 time winner of the Kodak Gallery Award Wedding Image, 2 time Fuji Masterpieces for Prints awards and several other wedding album and print awards.

I don’t photograph for the awards, but I welcome judgment by my peers so that I can produce the best possible wedding images and albums for you.

I'm a CT based photographer working throughout New England, NYC, Long Island and Northern New Jersey since 1997.

Walter van Dusen presents Mystic 4 Photography Event. I spoke too

I hosted my 4th Annaual Mystic Photography event this past January 18 & 19, 2009 at the Mystic Hilton. Doug from Power Posse provided the great surround sound and lighting. We had around 250 professional photographers from throughout the USA and Canada. The speaker linup was great. Huy from F8, Christopher David, Vladimir Chaloupka, George Weir, Walter van Dusen (ME), David Murray, Michelle Turner, Ben Chrisman, and Anne Ruthmann. For my program, “What do I do with all of that stuff” I used three Nikon D3′s with 24-70, 28 1.4 and 85 1.4 len’s, Two Nikon SB-900 flashes with the Ultimate Bounce Card, four Q-flash T5 with pocket wizards, Lowel ID Light, and the Paul Buff Ring Light
